Cranberry extract, which contains as much as 300 mg per capsule, helps to stop the path of bladder infections. In most cases, about 90% of bladder infections are caused by the bacterium E. coli, which enters the urinary tract from the intestines. These bacteria have peculiar hairs that cling to the mucous membrane of the urinary system, multiply and cause inflammation. The greatest danger is that, if not taken care of, these bacteria can get further into the kidneys and provoke more serious diseases.
