Filarmex is a combination drug of antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory action for topical use in ophthalmology.
5 ml of the drug contains:
active substances:
Neomycin sulfate 17500 IU;
Polymyxin B sulfate 30,000 IU;
Dexamethasone 5 mg;
excipients: benzalkonium chloride, tyloxapol, hypromellose, sodium chloride, sodium hydroxide 4% solution, acid hydrochloric 3.6% solution, water for injection.
The dose depends on the severity of the disease, the type of infection, the condition organism and age of the patient.
Applied locally. Shake the bottle before use! Before instillation of eye drops, contact lenses must be removed, they can be worn again 15 minutes after instillation. At instillation of drops in a sore eye / eyes, do not touch dropper tip of the eyelids, skin around the eyes, or other surfaces to avoid contamination.
With a mild infectious process – 1-2 drops per conjunctival sac 4-6 times / day.
In acute severe infectious process – 1-2 drops per conjunctival sac every 60 minutes with decreasing frequency instillations of the drug as inflammation decreases. The duration of therapy is set individually by the doctor.
Eye drop technique. Tilt your head back slightly and pull the lower eyelid down so that you get a pocket and bury 1-2 drops of the drug in it. Close your eyes and roll your eyes apples for 1-2 minutes.
